Tool Day at LA Trade Tech

The next generation of electrical contractors is being trained around the country. In the Los Angeles area LA Trade Tech is one choice for students who want to become electricians. It was founded in 1925 as the Frank Wiggins Trade School, Trade-Tech is the oldest of the nine, public two-year colleges in the Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD).

Electrical News recently attended a tool day arranged by one of the professors from LA Trade Tech. At the event students gathered information about tools and took advantage of special deals on supplies for their classes. Electrical News took some pictures and videos of the event and met with some of the next generation of readers. Click here to view more pictures from the event.

One of the distributors at the event was Walters Wholesale Electric with their tool truck. In conjunction with the Walters tool truck was Milwaukee tools and Innovative Tool Sales. Ideal Industries also had a booth in conjunction with Associated of Los Angeles. South Bay tools and Snap-on also had booths with products and representatives on hand to answer questions.

Many students took advantage of the special prices and left the event ready for class. The event saw crowds of students throughout the day and plans are underway for the next event (before classes will begin again in February).
