TerraLUX Introduces First Plug & Play LED Lighting Solution
TerraLUX Inc. announced the introduction of its new Line Voltage Linear LED Engine.
Unlike LED lighting solutions in the past, the Line Voltage Linear LED Engine requires no rewiring or extra hardware. The Line Voltage Linear LED Engine connects directly to the mains, requiring no electronic driver. All you need to install the unit is three wire nuts, and the Line Voltage Linear LED Engine is available as a Retrofit Kit making this the first LED lighting solution that can easily be retrofit to any existing fixture.
The Retrofit Kit contains all accessories an installer needs including: mounting brackets, screws, wire nuts and a UL 1598C Classified (LED retrofit kit), that allows any qualified electrician to retrofit any fixture on-site while keeping the UL listing on the fixture. In five minutes or less the Line Voltage Linear LED Engine can be permanently installed transforming any existing fixture into a more energy efficient unit.
The Line Voltage Linear LED Engine is designed with a Smart Thermal Design and patented LEDSense® Thermal Foldback circuitry allowing for installation in any sealed fixture. The engine is suited for indoor and outdoor installations in wall sconces, recessed step lights and wall lights, ceiling surface mounted fixtures and outdoor wall packs. The unique design of the engine transfer heat emitted from the LEDs to the metallic housing of the fixture with further protection from the LEDSense® circuitry. If the heat is too high, the LEDSense® will protect the LEDs by lowering the power until a safe temperature is reached, persevering the lifespan of the LEDs.
The Line Voltage Linear LED Engine can be set for120V compatible with phase dimming or 100-277V compatible with 1-10V dimming and is available in three sizes – 4, 6 and 8 inches. The engine is highly efficient using less than 50 lumens/watt with a mere 8-watt power consumption. Available in four color temperatures, 2700K, 3000K, 3500K and 4000K, the Line Voltage Linear LED Engine has a 5-year limited warranty. It is UL listed fixture, UL Recognized Component and UL 1598C Classified Retrofit Kit certified.
