New Roles at California’s Capitol Services
Shauna Krause has taken over as President and CEO of the Sacramento-based contractor’s consulting corporation, while company founder David Kalb moves to a new role. Mr. Kalb will transition from day-to-day operations to consultant at Capitol Services and will also focus greater time as a consulting expert witness. “At her initial interview close to ten years ago,” Kalb said, “Shauna told me I would never regret hiring her. She was right. Shauna Krause brings exceptional talent and leadership to the job as she has proven daily over the years. Now taking her turn at the top, I have only great expectations that she will maintain and grow Capitol Services during the next 30 years.”
Ms. Krause has been working alongside Kalb for almost a decade, acting as primary assistant for licensing at Capitol Services. She is as also co-author of the widely published Q&A column for contractors, ‘Capitol Connection’. Shauna Krause says there is excitement in the office, “Assuming the new role as Owner/President is an exciting opportunity, and I am eager to continue to serve our clients with the same devotion and quality which they have come to expect. It’s still business as usual at Capitol Services, Inc.”
David Kalb founded Capitol Services more than 30 years ago to assist contractors with complex regulation and licensing needs as an industry consultant. He is also well known in the western states as the author of the book, “What Every Contractor Should Know”, a resource on contractor’s licensing and industry regulations. Kalb created the Capitol Connection, co-authored by Shauna Krause, to give contractors across the west instant access to answers on problems associated with licensing, business regulation and interpretation of complex rules governing the industry. ‘Capitol Connection’ is featured in building industry publications across California and the west.
