Legrand/Pass & Seymour Donates Electrical Wiring Devices to Ronald Mcdonald House
Legrand/Pass & Seymour has provided the wiring devices to the new Central New York Ronald McDonald House being built at 1100 E. Genesee St. in Syracuse.
The Central New York Ronald McDonald House has been a “home away from home” for families with seriously ill children for 30 years. When families with seriously ill children travel to Syracuse from counties throughout Upstate New York and Northern Pennsylvania to receive medical care at local hospitals and health care facilities, the CNY Ronald McDonald House is able to offer them a home-cooked meal, a warm bed and compassion at a very difficult time in their lives.
Commenting on the donation, Bill Timmons, Residential Marketing Manager at Legrand/Pass & Seymour said, “It’s our great pleasure to help and support the Ronald McDonald House in its efforts to assist families during their time of need. The products we donated are designed to make a home as comfortable and as safe as possible. We wish all residents of Ronald McDonald House a speedy and healthy recovery.”
“Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central New York would like to extend its appreciation to Legrand/Pass & Seymour for their generous donation,” said Beth Trunfio, executive director, Ronald McDonald House Charities of CNY. “When it comes to helping a child and his or her family heal after traumatic circumstances, every bit helps. We are so grateful to be able to help keep families together.”
The devices include various night light GFCIs, tamper proof receptacles, occupancy sensors, wall plates and switches amongst others. The installation was managed by Bruce Electrical.
“The Occupancy Sensors will help Ronald McDonald House save energy, the Nightlight GFCIs will provide night lighting for guests in unfamiliar surroundings and the Tamper-Resistant Receptacles will protect the children and keep them safe,” concludes Timmons.
