Joe Maier Joins Houston Wire & Cable
Joe Maier is newest member of the outside sales team at Houston Wire & Cable in Norwalk. Having served the last 10 years in the U.S. Navy as a SH-60 Seahawk helicopter pilot, Joe was brought onboard through the company Hiring Veterans initiative. Joe brings a tremendous amount of enthusiasm and experience in project management.
A native of Rochester, NY, Joe entered the Naval Flight School in Pensacola, FL in 2002, and spent most of his career in San Diego, CA. Joe completed a WESTPAC deployment in 2006 on the Destroyer USS McCampbell (DDG 85) with the Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) Carrier Strike Group in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Currently, Joe continues his service to the nation in the Naval Reserves as the Aviation Liaison Officer at SEAL Team Seventeen in San Diego. In addition, Joe is entering his second year of graduate studies in the MBA program at University of California Los Angeles. Joe and his wife Kim reside in Seal Beach. He spends his spare time surfing and researching world war history.
