IESLA Golfing with the Industry

Many industry professionals came out to finish out September with a round of golf. IESLA hosted their 16th annual golf event at the Rio Hondo golf course in Downey. The event benefits the IES-LA student education fund.

Some of the companies that participated included: Gammalux, SCI, LA Lighting, Performance, Birchwood, TLC, Syska, Juno, Cree, Hevilite, Lutron, Cooper Lighting and Sebco Industries. A total of 36 teams participated in the event. Despite the heat the teams were eager to get out on the course. Registration began at 10:30 in the morning and after a BBQ lunch there was a shotgun start. The putting contest ended with a three way tie putting three players into a putt off. The winner of the sudden death elimination was Brett Becker. Michael Shearer from SCI reported the overall winner was team Prudential with Roger Gregston, Dennis McVay, Kyle Kersten, and Brian Smith. After 18 holes the group enjoyed a banquet dinner where the raffle prize winners were announced.
