Starting Wednesday, September 19th, IES San Francisco is offering their Fundamentals of Lighting course. This course qualifies for CEU and LU credit, and will be taught by Leslie Davis, our IESSF past-president and a Lighting Designer. This class is perfect for anyone who is interested in lighting: entry-level engineers, lighting designers, interior designers, and architects.

How Much: $250 per person
Fundamentals of Lighting is a 7-module course designed to teach entry level lighting professionals in all lighting related fields basic lighting fundamentals including lighting terminology, lamp technology, vision, energy metrics, luminaire design and application, basic calculations, codes and lighting quality and design.

LC Prep Course
In addition, IES San Francisco is offering an LC Prep Course for lighting practitioners who intend to take the national NCQLP Lighting Certification Exam test offered November 3, 2012. The purpose is to share students’ professional lighting expertise and reference materials.
The format of the LC Prep Course is informal, with seminar-style discussions. Instructors Greg Barker LC and Larry Ayers LC will lead the study group.
