IES Newly Published Design Guide
The Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IES) announces the publication of Design Guide for Sustainable Lighting: An Introduction to the Environmental Impacts of Lighting (DG-22-12). With this new document, the IES addresses the topic of sustainability, an essential environmental, economic and social issue for the first time in this publication. Design Guide DG-22-12 introduces readers to concepts about sustainability in lighting design, which require lighting practitioners to re-evaluate many of their system choices in terms of their potential impact on the environment.
Design Guide DG 22-12 focuses on introducing the topic of sustainability, presents its elements, and explains how it affects the design of lighting in process and product.
