Genesis Battery is Ideal for UPS and Portable Generator Applications
EnerSys® has announced the introduction of the Genesis® NP9-12 battery to the Genesis® family of products. Measuring 5.94 inches long, 2.56 inches wide and 4.02 inches high, it has the same footprint as Genesis® NP7-12 and the DataSafe® NPX35-12 batteries, but provides greater power for applications that require increased amp hours (Ah) and watts per cell (WPC). The Genesis® NP9-12 is not only ideal for uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, but also for portable generator applications.
The Genesis® NP9-12 battery’s specifications include 9.0Ah nominal capacity, compared with 7.0Ah for the Genesis® NP7-12 battery, and 36 WPC, compared with 35 WPC for the DataSafe® NPX35-12. It is available with a .250 terminal or an M5 bolt.
Available in cases made of standard ABS resin or optional flame-retardant material, the Genesis® NP9-12 battery is constructed for leak-proof operation in any position, except inverted. Heavy-duty lead calcium tin alloy grids provide an additional margin of performance and service life in demanding applications. Genesis® batteries are maintenance free, absorbed glass mat (AGM)-type valve-regulated, lead-acid (VRLA) batteries. There is no need to check the electrolyte gravity or add water during their life.
