Deco Lighting introduces the DBM Black Mamba streetlight designed to replace HID cobraheads, and the first in the industry to offer cities and municipalities a choice of LED or Induction lighting. The patent-pending Black Mamba provides 50% or more energy savings, superior illumination, 3 to 10 times longer lifespan vs HID lamps, and optional Bi-Level or dimming control capability. Available with either a high power LED system with 80,000 hour life, or brand name Induction system with 100,000 hour lamp life. Black Mamba is the best solution to replace inefficient HID cobraheads for immediate energy cost savings and long term maintenance savings by eliminating 3 to 10 cycles of relamping.
The Black Mamba delivers high performance, superior clean white color illumination for street lighting, roadways, and outdoor area applications using half the wattage of HID lamps. Features proprietary high power LEDs and driver, and brand name Induction lamp and generator to assure superior performance and availability of replacement components. Choice of LED wattages up to 170 watts and Induction lamps up to 165 watts, and warm to cool color temperatures.
The innovative, patent-pending Black Mamba design provides contractor-friendly, fast installation and maintenance. The compact die-cast aluminum housing features certified copper-free alloy for longevity in coastal marine environments and harsh climates. IP65 protection rated, full gasketing, tempered glass lens, and polyester powder coat finish for weather and corrosion resistance. Unique streamlined self-cleaning housing uses integral grooves to channel rain water to remove dirt and bird debris.
Solid state LED or electrode-less Induction lamp provides superior vibration resistance for roadway and bridge applications. Single heavy duty front latch opens hinged lens door for no-tools access to reflector and lamp. Exclusive design top compartment contains four bolt adjustable mast arm mount, quick connect terminal block, surge protector, photocell receptacle and optional 480 volt stepdown transformer.
Hinged top cover opens with two no-tools stainless steel fasteners. A built-in hydraulic piston keeps cover open for hands-free installation and electrical connections. Rear housing cover features integral heat sink for efficient heat dissipation, and opens with no-tools fasteners to access the LED driver or Induction generator.
