Cerro Wire to Showcase Innovative Wire Products at Upper Midwest Electrical Expo

| April 9, 2012 | Comments

Cerro Wire LLC announces that it will be showcasing its wire products at the Upper Midwest Electrical EXPO, to be held April 18-19, 2012 at the Minneapolis Convention Center & Hilton Hotel, Minneapolis, MN, Booth # 219. On display will be SLiPWire XHHW-2 cross-linked polyethylene (XLP) insulated copper conductors, as well as a complete range of wire equipped with RectorSeal single-use steel pulling grips. Cerro Wire will also highlight the benefits of True Sequential Footage™, its sequentially printed cable reel that provides accurate wire length with each cut.

Dale Crawford, Cerro Wire’s marketing manager and Barry Schonebaum, regional sales manager, will join with manufacturers’ representatives from Rouzer Electrical Sales to demonstrate the innovative wire products and show how they can eliminate waste, saving time and money, especially on larger commercial jobs.

Cerro Wire’s SLiPWire XHHW-2 is ideal for use in conduit or other recognized raceways for service, feeder, and branch circuit applications as specified in the NEC®. It is a good choice for industrial applications where better insulation toughness and resistance to moisture and heat are required. SLiPWire XHHW is manufactured using Cerrowire’s Self-Lubricating Polymer (SLP®) technology, so it can be installed without a pulling lubricant. It also features True Sequential Footage, which uses a footage mark to document remaining wire, beginning with zero at the bottom of the reel and ending with the finished length at the top. The accurate footage mark allows for quick identification of the re-order point, guaranteeing the full purchased wire length and reducing random lengths. This better controls end-of-reel scrap.

RectorSeal single-use steel pulling grips are a simple, reliable, and durable single-use wire pulling tool that reduces set up time and lets contractors pull up to four times more wire per day. Pulling grips eliminate waste, saving time and money, especially on larger commercial jobs. Rated for use on THHN and XHHN wire, these steel pulling grips reduce total set up time for a 4-wire pull to less than five minutes. Eighteen sizes are available, ranging from 1 AWG to 750 MCM.
